These shorts are one of my personal favourites. They’re perfect to wear over your bikini, but paired with a cute basic top, they also make the perfect casual shorts.

After making these myself quite a few times, I thought: there’s nothing better than being able to say, “I made this myself!” Soooo, I thought it would be a fun idea to offer these shorts as a sewing kit.

The shorts will already be completely cut out in the size you ordered, so all you have to do at home is sew them together. I’ve also made a video tutorial where I try to explain and show as clearly as possible how to sew the shorts.

Machine settings

  • If you have an overlocker, you can use it to sew all the pieces together.
  • If you don’t have an overlocker, sew everything together using a zigzag stitch (tension: 3–4, width: 1–1,5 lenght: 3).
  • For the straight section of the waistband, use a regular straight stitch (tension: 3–4, length: 3).
  • Needle: Jersey/Ballpoint 90/14
